Rules for Queen of Hearts Raffle

RULES

  • The Queen of Hearts is a weekly 50/50 progressive raffle
  • 52 playing cards + 2 jokers will be used – Total of 54 cards 
  • Envelopes will be numbered 1 – 54 on the board – each envelope will hold ONE card.
  • When an envelope is selected, a card will be removed from the envelope. That card/envelope will be removed from play if a card other than the Queen of Hearts is inside the envelope.
  • If the Queen of Hearts is NOT selected the game will roll over to the next week
  • The second Joker drawn resets the game; ticket sales will remain in the pot.
  • The ticket holder who selects the Queen of Hearts is the Grand Prize Winner and will be paid 50% (half) the accumulated ticket sales pot.

TICKETS

  • Tickets are 6/$5 and you may purchase as many as you like for each weekly drawing.
  • Tickets may be purchased at any time for any drawing (up to 10 weeks in advance).
  • Tickets are available online and in-person up to 10 weeks in advance.
  • SAMPLE TICKET NUMBER: week04-123456 = Week 4, Ticket Number 123456 (purchaser identification)
  • Weekly drawing entries are available up to 30 minutes prior to that week’s drawing.
  • In-person Tickets may be purchased from Qadesh Temple No. 35. Contact Queen Jill Guzman or Princess Badoura Chris Middaugh for tickets.
  • In-person sales will occur as needed/available
    • every Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m at El Zaribah Shrine – 552 N 40th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85008

  • Tickets are available for purchase by Arizona residents ONLY.

DRAWINGS

  • When not able to hold a drawing in person, the drawing will be held LIVE via electronic means. A link to watch the LIVE drawing will be provided.
  • After the drawing, all tickets for that week’s drawing will be destroyed and are no longer valid.
  • Drawings will be held weekly, Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Watch our Facebook Page/Website for details.
  • Winner need not be present. Online and in-person Tickets will have a name, phone number, email, and the Envelope Number of the purchaser’s choice..
  • If your ticket is pulled and the number selection has already been chosen, the nearest number available will be turned/opened on the board (i.e. if you choose #7, and that is taken, the next closest available envelope is #6, then that envelope will be opened for you).

PRIZES

  • The prize pool will continue to accumulate weekly until the Queen of Hearts is drawn. The jackpot amount, based on ticket sales, will be updated and published each week.
  • If a prize greater than $1,200.00 is awarded, the winner will need to confirm their identity and SSN by completing and signing an IRS Form W-2G. All winning players are responsible for any and all taxes.
  • Payout:
    • Drawing Queen of Hearts: 50% of accumulated ticket sales (pot)
    • Drawing Queen of Diamonds. Spades, or Clubs: $25
    • Drawing a Joker: $25
  • Proceeds:
    • 50% to Winner
    • 45% to Daughters of the Nile (DON) Qadesh Temple No. 35
    • 5% to start New Jackpot
  • Proceeds exceeding $10,000 to Qadesh Temple will be forwarded/donated to DON Foundation
